ORLANDA, Fla. – The Shawnee boys basketball team lost 54-49 to Eleanor Roosevelt of California in their first game of the KSA Events Tournament at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida Monday.
The Wolves got off to a strong start with 13 points in the first quarter and allowing six and held on for a 24-20 advantage at halftime.
The team came out flat in the third though and couldn't bounce back.
Lead scorer Carson Meier was scoreless in the return and the boys scored six points but gave up 19. They won out the fourth, but it wasn't enough.
Meier and Roosevelt's David Agba each scored 17 points to lead all scorers.
Ramey Harrison had 11 points and Chase Morris put in 10. The Wolves were 13-19 from the line while Roosevelt was 9-16.
