RIPLEY — Freshman Chantae Embry collected 27 points and 13 rebounds Friday night, keying Prague to a 50-39 triumph over Kellyville in semifinal action of the Ripley Tournament.

Embry canned 9-of-10 charity tosses as Prague improved to 9-0 going into today’s 7 p.m. championship matchup against Class 2A seventh-ranked Kieffer.

Prague is ranked second in Class 3A.

Prague scooted out to a 17-4 advantage after one quarter and led 26-13 at the intermission.

Caya Wright added 10 points for Prague.

“We just struggled defending the 3-pointer and we gave up eight 3’s,” Prague coach Benny Burnett said. “We’ve got to do a better job on our outside defense. We’re capable. We just didn’t get after it tonight.”

Kellyville was accurate on four 3-pointers in the third quarter.
