HENRYETTA — Meeker girls’ coach Clay Plunk utilized 13 players and 10 scored Friday in a 66-44 victory over Henryetta at the Henryetta Invitational.
Scoring in double figures for Meeker (5-5) were Ashley VanSchuyver (15) , Lexi Lopez (13) and Melanie Culp (12). Lopez posted two 3-point field goals.
Meeker, which never trailed, led 21-6 after one quarter.
“We turned them over a bunch with our press,” Plunk said.
Neither team fared well at the line — Meeker at 18 of 37 and Henryetta at 20 of 33.
Meeker will oppose Metro Christian in today’s 1 p.m. consolation championship contest.
Boys
The Bulldogs, who received a Friday bye, will square off against either Poteau or Henryetta in today’s 2:30 consolation championship matchup. Meeker was defeated 48-36 by Okmulgee Thursday.
