DALE —Coach Josh Forsythe’s Dale girls warmed up for a crucial Tuesday clash by riddling McLoud 52-29 Friday night.

The Lady Pirates, ranked third, will play host to No. 1 Christian Heritage Tuesday night.

Mikayla Rutland led Dale’s offense against McLoud with 17 points. Jacie McClure notched 9 points and Elaine Witt came in with 8 as eight Lady Pirates scored.

Dale (18-2) played without Lacey Savage and Claire Chastain, both out with injuries.

Rutland and McClure recorded three 3-pointers apiece.

Dale was 13 of 22 at the line with Rutland going 4 of 4 and Lindy Nowakowski hitting 5 of 6.

Rylee Thompson pulled down 11 rebounds while Rutland finished with 6. McClure, Nowakowski and Danyn Lang carved out 5 apiece.

Witt responded with a team-high 6 assists.

Dale is 2-0 against McLoud this season.

Cheyenne Banks was McLoud’s top scorer with 8.

McLoud will travel to Bethel Tuesday.
