SEMINOLE — Quality outside shooting propelled Seminole’s girls to a 57-36 win over Tecumseh Tuesday night.
The Lady Chieftains canned 53 percent (8 of 15) of their shots from beyond the arc with Aubrey Kotchavar leading the way with three. Abby Carter and Anna Andrews notched two treys apiece.
Destiny Tiger and Kotchavar had 11 points apiece for Seminole, which recorded its third win of the season.
Tiger, with 10 assists, compiled a double-double.
Lauren Cheatwood of Seminole chalked up 12 rebounds and six blocked shots.
“We shot the ball well,” said Seminole coach Pam Fletcher. “Defense has been good all year but we’ve had trouble scoring. We got some good looks.”
Seminole led 27-11 at the half.
Taylor Walker led Tecumseh with 8 points. Annie Boatman and Marissa Gauge netted 7 apiece.
Seminole will play at Okemah Friday, then travel to Wewoka Saturday for a make-up game.
Tecumseh plays at Prague Friday night.
