OKEMAH — Seminole manhandled Okemah 25-6 in the first quarter en route to a 78-60 win Friday night.

Seminole avenged an earlier setback to Okemah.

The Chieftains, ranked 15th in Class 4A, received double-figure scoring from Shemmario Stephens (23), Dayton Jackson (19) and Kason Clark (12).

Jackson accounted for two of Seminole’s five 3-point field goals.

Seminole was accurate on 17-of-25 charity tosses for 68 percent.

Ten Chieftains scored.

C.D. Harjo was Okemah’s offensive ringleader with 16 points. Seth Harjo added 14 points and Brandon Johnson finished with 10.

“We played really well,” Seminole coach Josh Edenborough said.

Seminole will play again tonight at Wewoka. The Chieftains are 1-0 against Wewoka this season.
