OWASSO — After a shocking 48-45 upset loss to Luther Friday night, Dale’s girls faced a do-or-die regional situation in Saturday’s matchup with Chelsea at Rejoice Christian.
The third-ranked Lady Pirates responded well, blasting Chelsea 56-25 as nine players got in the scoring column.
Lindy Nowakowski led Dale with 12 points. Claire Chastain added 11 and Brenlee Sheppard put in 10 as Dale improved to 24-4.
Nowakowski earned rebounding honors with 7 while Chastain blocked 3 shots.

Coach Josh Forsythe’s Lady Pirates will meet Pawhuska at 1:30 p.m. Monday in a regional matchup. A Dale win would send Forsythe’s crew to the area tournament.
