TECUMSEH – Tristian Anthony had one hit and drove in four runs as Tecumseh beat Seminole 14-3 at home Tuesday.
Anthony bunted into a fielder's choice to score Byron Thompson in the bottom of the third and the Savages took a 4-3 lead. Thomposon and Caleb Kelsey came in on a single from Anthony in the fourth to start a 9-run rally for Tecumseh.
Anthony scored on a passed ball and Will Hilton drove in Andrew Lewis with a single to third. Four bases loaded walks, a passed ball and a single by Thompson scored the remainder of the runs in the inning.
Bryce Marshall grounded out to score Hunter Wurtz in the top of the third and get Seminole on the board. Justin Harvey scored on a walk to Luke Weick and Jerome Hilton singled to drive in Joey Harrison to give the Chieftains a 3-2 lead.
Tyler Thompson earned the win for Tecumseh, pitching all five innings. He struck out seven and walked two, had two HBP and gave up four hits.
Harrison threw 3.2 innings for Seminole in the loss and gave up 14 runs on five hits. He walked 13 and the Chieftains committed three errors as a team.
Byron Thompson was 2-2 and drove in two runs for Tecumseh. Gage Boatman walked three times and Jayden Shafer, Tyler Thompson and Kullen Meadows each took two free walks to first.
Tecumseh is now 5-5 on the season and hosts Chickasha Thursday at 1 p.m. Seminole (2-5) hosts McLoud Monday at 4:30.
