McLOUD — McLoud chalked up 62 hits and three wins en route to a Class 5A district championship Thursday.

The Lady Redskins, ranked ninth, opened with a 20-5, three-inning rip of Purcell. Shyann Shipman and Lexi Boyer had three hits with the former notching a double. Makyna Higdon and Gaby Sears had three hits, including doubles.

McLoud waxed Plainview 17-5 with 19 hits in five innings. Callie Cardin led the onslaught with two 2-run home runs. Boyer posted two doubles, Shipman claimed a double and two singles, Karlie Norwood had a double and single and Rylee Walker fashioned three singles. Jessie Wooten chipped in with a two-bagger.

McLoud followed with a 19-8 win over Plainview with Cardin and Norwood homering. Higdon and Walker earned three singles each.

McLoud, 21-9, will play at 5 p.m. Monday at Choctaw.
