MOORE — Westmoore tallied 11 runs in the bottom of the first inning Friday and rolled to a 15-1 triumph over Tecumseh.
The game went just 2 ½ innings as the run rule was invoked.
Channing Scallorn tallied Tecumseh’s run in the third inning after doubling. Gabi Jordan followed with a run-scoring single.
Westmoore blasted six home runs and two doubles.
Tecumseh is 18-16.
“We’ve got some girls hurt,” Tecumseh coach Perry Wilson said. “We hope to get a couple of them back for regionals.”
Tecumseh will travel to Dale Monday for a 4 p.m. matchup to conclude the regular campaign.
The Lady Savages will trek to Harrah Wednesday for a Class 6A double-elimination regional tournament. Second-seeded Tecumseh will oppose third-seeded Woodward at noon. The loser will meet top-seeded Harrah at 1:30. The first-game winner will take on Harrah at 3.
Only the regional champion will advance to the state tournament.
