OKLAHOMA CITY – The Shawnee boys and girls track teams took home top honors at the Suburban Conference Track Championship Friday to come home with several pieces of hardware.
The Lady Wolves won three of their four relay events and took second in the 4x800 with a time of 10:33.85, just behind Guthrie in first with a 10:30.13 finish. The girls finished the 4x100 in 52.03, the 4x200 in 1:50.43 and the 4x400 in 4:16.91.
Shyra Crowley won the 100 hurdle with a time of 15.35 followed by Madison Converse with a time of 15.60. Converse topped the 300 hurdle after posting a 47.88 time.
Audrie Lupton won the 400 dash with a time of 1:05.12 and Alexxus Ward took second in the 200 after finished with a 27.76. Jasmine Martinez won the 800 meter race with a time of 2:28.04.
Haley Wood went 10-foot-06 to win the pole vault and Tijah Johnson threw a 31-09 to take the gold in the shot put. Crowley went 15-08 in the long jump and Kaliegh Simmons went 15-01 to finish second and third in the event.
Kylan Hernandez won the boys 110 hurdle with a time of 14.60 and Darrius Blackshire came in second with a 15.39 finish before the boys traded places in the 300. Blackshire finished that event with a time of 38.64 to lead the pack and Hernandez dropped to second with a 40.18.
Nahamias Jenkins took second in the 100 dash with a time of 11.49 and Clifford Littleton took home silver in the 800 with a time of 1:58.31.
The boys relay teams won the 4x800 (8:13.61) and 4x400 (3:29.24) and came in second in both the 4x100 (42.18) and 4x200 (1:32.00).
Shawnee will race in the regional track meet at Tahlequah on Saturday.
