OKTAHA – Meeker beat Morris and lost to Oktaha Saturday to get the Oktaha regional underway after a two day delay. The Bulldogs opened the day with an 8-2 win over Morris but lost to Oktaha 10-1.

Budgie Cameron and Raceton Sedlacek drove in two runs each to beat Morris. Sedlacek and Jacob Martin each had two hits each, Martin doubled and Sedlacek had a triple and a double.

Martin scored on a passed ball in the top of the first to get the ball rolling and scored on a triple from Sedlacek in the third. Cameron brought home Sedlacek with a sacrifice.

Cameron threw the complete game and gave up two earned runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked four.

Martin doubled in the top of the first against Oktaha to score Kade Brewster but Meeker was unable to get any more runs across. Oktaha rallied with five runs in the bottom of the first and never gave up the lead.

Johnny Jones threw four innings in the start for Meeker and gave up seven runs on six hits, all earned. He struck out three, walked five and allowed one home run. Martin gave up three earned runs on two hits, walked two and allowed two homers and Cade Patterson came in to close.

Oktaha's Jake Robbins earned the pitching win and gave up three hits, struck out ten and walked five.

Brayden Rodden drove in four runs for Oktaha. Brayden Rodden, Brock Rodden and Matt Erwin each homered.
