OKLAHOMA CITY — Two area tracksters earned medals Saturday at the Class A state meet.

Earlsboro senior Elijah Stargell came in third in the long jump with a 21-03.75 effort. Semaj McBride, a Tipton junior, captured the state title at 21-06 while Okeene’s Jordan Buhr was second at 21-04.75.

Maud senior Braylen Brewer was second in the 400 meters with a 50.69 effort while Snyder’s s Trevor Evans, a junior, was the champion with a 49.81.

Class 4A

Allison Lauderdale of Seminole came in fifth in both the 200-meter dash (26.75) and the 400-meter dash (59.77).

Lady Chieftain Hayden Harjo was fourth in the pole vault with 9-0 effort.

On the boys side, Michael Tiger of Seminole recorded a time of 2:00.45 in the 800 meters to finish fifth.

Richard Bolt was eighth in the 3,200 at 10:24.73.

Bethel’s 3,200 relay unit came in eighth at 8:36.86.

Class 3A

Ashley VanSchuyer of Meeker came in seventh in the 400 meters at 1:02.31. She was also ninth in the 800 at 2:32.56.

Teammate Elisabeth Jones finished seventh in the long jump at 15-06.50.
