YUKON – The Shawnee boys took 10th as a team Saturday on the final day of the Class 6A state track meet in Yukon.

The boys 4x800 relay team finished second-place for the highest placement of the Wolves with a time of 8:14.26.

Darrius Blackshire took third in the 300 hurdle with a time of 39.06 and Clifford Littleton took fourth in the 800 with a time of 1:59.74.

Haley Wood took fifth in the girls pole vault with a height of 10 feet. Madison Converse took sixth in the girls' 300 hurdles.


The Tecumseh girls finished 12th as a team and Kayla McGruder took second in two events. McGruder took second in the 400 dash with a time of 1:00.86, ahead of Bishop Kelley's Seabring Huckleberry at 1:00.89. Cierra Garcia came in fourth with a time of 1:01.78 to add some precious points for the Lady Savages.

Clayton Rackley took sixth in the boys 400 with a time of 51.49 and seventh in the 800 with a time of 2:00.74.

Matt Higdon took fourth in the shot with a distance of 49-01 and Jarad Maxwell went 6 feet in the high jump.
