Jim and Venita Cresap celebrated their 65th anniversary Feb. 13, 2018.

They were married on Friday, Feb. 13, 1953, in Shawnee at the old Immanuel Baptist Church. Dr. Frank Baugh was the officiating minister.

They have one daughter, Freda Dunn of Stroud, and her husband, Marcus Dunn, one granddaughter, Alicia Davis of Shawnee and husband, Shane Sala, and two great-grandchildren, Haster and Zach Sala.

They lived in Prague for 45 years, where they owned and operated a huge greenhouse where they raised and sold hot-house tomatoes — “a lot of work,” Venita said. Jim worked at the post office in Prague. He retired in 1990, then devoted most of his time to the greenhouse. He was the one who delivered and sold the tomatoes.

In 1998, they sold their business and moved to Shawnee. They attend Faith Assembly Church.
