Mark Schneiter Elected President of Historical Society Board of Directors

Mark Schneiter, Shawnee resident, has been elected president of the board of Directors of the Pottawatomie County Historical Society.  He succeeds Tom Terry who had served as president since 2012.

 Mark’s mother, the late Helen Schneiter, served many years on this board from the mid 80s until 2002.  She served several terms as vice president and as treasurer of the board.

Other officers of the board include Teresa Burnett, vice president; Dr. Tom Henry, treasurer; Lisa Hefner, secretary; and Robert Currie, corresponding secretary.  The other board members include Ann McDonald, Joi Grissom, Sara Epley, Jim Lynn, Judith Michener, Sam Vasquezz, Dr. Clay McLaughlin, Dawson Engle, Dr. Kelli Mosteller, Gary Akin, Lynn Alldredge, Dr. Carol Humphrey, Tom Terry, and John Patterson.
