OBU Invites Students Grades 3-12 to Participate in Choirs This Spring, Audition Jan. 20

The OBU Music Preparatory Department is holding auditions for Shawnee Honor Choir (grades 3-7) and Concert Choir (grades 7-12) Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Auditions are free but require a reservation. Please call (405) 585-4329 or email prep@okbu.edu to schedule your audition time.

Both choirs perform a wide variety of classical, gospel and traditional repertoire for audiences throughout the region. Students receive high-quality instruction and enjoy a fun group atmosphere as they learn from Dr. Patty Nelson, associate professor of music education and director of Shawnee Honor Choir, and Dr. Louima Lilite, associate professor of music and director of Concert Choir. Cost is $130 per semester ($32.50 per month).
