VERDIGRIS – Verdigris connected on 11 3-point shots and had four players score in double figures in rolling to an 85-51 win over the McLoud Redskins in Class 4A district action on Saturday.

The brother combination of Tyler Haddock and Trent Haddock accounted for 20 and 15 points respectively for Verdigris. Trent sank three 3-point shots and Tyler had two.

Jaren Keith tossed in 13 points, including three treys, and Ethan Bell ended up with 10 points, including a pair of long-range connections.

Tristan Crook paced McLoud with a game-leading 21 points as he connected on three treys. Johnny Sparling followed with eight points in a losing cause and Jacob Jordan tacked on seven, including one 3-point bucket.

“They shot lights out. It's tough to win when a team hits 11 3s,” said McLoud boys' head coach Tim Boyer.

The Redskins, 9-14, will take on Harding Charter Prep Thursday at 3 p.m. at home in a 4A regional elimination game.
