Meeker pitching trio stops Chandler

CHANDLER — The Meeker pitching trio of Budgie Cameron, Kade Brewster and Jacob Martin limited Chandler to five hits en route to a 7-3 victory Monday.

Cameron, the starter, allowed three hits, no runs, fanned 11 and walked three in a five-inning stint. Brewster, who pitched the sixth, gave up three runs and one hit. Martin struck out the side in the seventh while surrendering one hit.

All three Chandler runs came in the sixth after Meeker took a 5-0 lead.

Meeker finished with eight hits as the leadoff hitter Brewster doubled and singled. Cameron posted two singles and scored once while Caleb Chapman tripled.

Gage Powell of Meeker was credited with three runs batted in, including a sacrifice fly which drove in Chapman.

Chandler committed three errors, leading to five unearned runs.

Meeker will entertain Chandler today.
