Shawnee tennis teams compete in Carl Albert Invitational
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Shawnee High School girls' tennis received a third-place finish from Grace Bryant at No. 2 singles and a seventh-place effort from Olivia Stobbe at No. 1 singles Friday at the Carl Albert Invitational at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
Shawnee's No. 2 doubles team of Elisa Diamond and Anna Jordan took 10th place at No. 2 doubles while the Lady Wolves' combination of Kylie Peters and Abigail Looper ended up 11th at No. 1 doubles.
Will Jordan claimed fourth place at No. 1 singles and Logan Clayton ended up eighth and the consolation title for the Shawnee boys' tennis squad at the Carl Albert Invitational on Saturday.
The Wolves took eighth place in the team standings.
At No. 1 doubles, the Shawnee team of Aidam Grein and Will Stewart finished fourth while the SHS No. 2 doubles combination of Dymire James and Luke Presley settled for 14th place.
“I am extremely proud of how they competed,” said Shawnee boys' tennis coach Dacia Jordan.
