Shawnee tennis teams compete with Henryetta

The Shawnee High School girls' tennis team won a tennis dual over Henryetta on Monday whie the SHS boys were on the short end of a 3-1 dual.

In the girls' dual the two teams tied in matches, 2-2, but Shawnee won on games played by one.

At No. 1 singles, the Lady Wolves' Olivia Stobbe earned a 7-5, 4-6 (14-12) decision over Kellya Lollis, and Shawnee's Grace Bryant was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over Andrea Wade at No. 2 singles.

The Lady Wolves dropped both doubles matches. At No. 1 doubles, Abigail Looper and Olivia Stevenson dropped a 1-6, 1-6 decision to B. Davis and Thomas. At No. 2 doubles, Shawnee's Elise Diamond and Anna Jordan were on the short end of 6-2, 6-7 (8-10) score with K. Davis and Nash.

In the boys' dual, the Wolves' only win came at No. 1 singles as Will Jordan won in straight sets. Logan Clayton fell at No. 2 singles. The No. 1 doubles' team of Aidan Grein and Will Stewart came up short as did the No. 2 doubles' combination of Dymire James and Luke Presley.

The Shawnee girls and boys will face Westmoore Thursday at the Earlywine Tennis Center in Oklahoma City.
