Shelby Junior Maupin

Shelby Maupin was born on Sept. 27, 1970, to Deborah and Shelby Maupin, just three minutes before his twin brother Shea Maupin. Shelby passed away in Oklahoma City at his sister Tami's house on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the age of 49, with his sister and twin brother by his side.

Shelby was raised in Shawnee, where he went to school, got married, and had three beautiful children.He worked as a roofer for many years and then he became and excelled in his craft as a sheet metal roofer for many, many more.

Shelby is proceeded in death by his grandmother: Carmeleta McGee, his grandfather: Alvin McGee, and an uncle: Leslie McGee.

Shelby is survived by his three children: Kelsay Maupin- Kidney, Tobie West, and Austin Maupin; his three grandchildren: Alexis Kidney, Annesley Kidney, and Bryson West; his mothers: Deborah and Kelly Maupin-Coffelt; his twin brother: Shea Maupin; his two sisters: Tamisha Price and Maxine Napoleon; aunt and uncle: Dennis and Sherri McGee; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 30, at Tecumseh Lake Pavilion for the balloon release memorial service. A private family service will be held later that day for immediate family only.
