James Edward “Butch” Vanlandingham

James Edward “Butch” Vanlandingham, 64, of Shawnee, passed away May 19, 2020.

James was born July 8, 1954 to Theo and Ruby Vanlandingham in Culver City, California.

James attended Venice High School and graduated June 30, 1972.

James made his living as a blue collar dock worker; James worked many years as a fork lift driver, delivery truck driver and warehouse supervisor.

James was known for his love of baseball that he passed on to his daughter and grandchildren. James was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his best friend Marty Collier.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Ruby Vanlandingham, his brother Michael Vanlandingham, his nephews Kyle Wikel, Dale Wikel, Danny O’Fallon and his niece Michelle Carr. James is survived by his daughter, Brandy Orso and Husband Frank Orso of Earlsboro. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaiden, Emma, Harper and Lincoln Orso. James has two surviving siblings; Theresa Kaye O’Fallon of Culver City, California, and Ann Wikel of Shawnee. James is also survived by many loving cousins, great nieces, great nephews and other family members.

There will be a private family memorial hosted at a later time.
