Billie Ann Cleere

Billie Ann Cleere, 81, passed away May 28, 2020, in Rockwood, Tennessee.

Billie was born Oct. 18, 1938, in Shawnee to George Wm Allen Crownover and Ora Bell (Bryant) Crownover.

Billie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family deeply. She met the love of her life, Donald Cleere, at the Shawnee Skating Rink and later married him and they spent 65 years loving one another.

She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and dominos with friends, and traveling. Billie worked as a nurse in Shawnee for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Donald Cleere; son and daughter-in-law, Mikel and Peggy Cleere; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Gale and Rick Whitley; grandchildren: Casey Cleere, Chris Huskins, Chance Whitley, and Amanda Walls; five great-grandchildren; brother, George Allen “Butch” Crownover; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Helen Lain and Mary Arta Gibson; and grandson, Stephen Walls.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, at Resthaven Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
