McLoud girls subdue Mt. St. Mary’s
OKLAHOMA CITY — McLoud’s girls, fueled by a quality first half, subdued Mt. St. Mary’s 55-44 Tuesday night.
McLoud, with a 19-10 second-quarter effort, led 35-19 at the intermission.
Junior Lexie Boyer and sophomore Desira Jones headed McLoud’s scoring with 17 and 16 points respectively.
Jones knocked down four 3-point shots, including two in the second quarter, while Boyer managed three treys.
Cheyenne Banks, a junior, added 14 points as McLoud won its third straight game.
Kennedy Allison led the visitors with 22 points.
McLoud (6-7) was 8 of 13 from the line. St. Mary’s was 3 of 4.
“In the first half, we kept them off the foul line, which was one of our goals, and our ball movement was very good,” McLoud coach Doug Armstrong said.

McLoud trailed 37-23 at halftime and 54-40 after three quarters.
Tristan Crook garnered 11 points for McLoud, which fell to 6-7. Johnny Sparlin posted eight points for McLoud. Conner Cheney and Sammy Keller added six each.
McLoud will travel to Harrah Friday.
