Wildcats extend win streak; Bethel girls roll

LITTLE AXE — Bethel’s boys, fueled by 13 field goals from 3-point range, blitzed Little Axe 76-28 Tuesday night.

In moving to 15-6, Bethel extended its winning streak to six games.

Gage Porter, who led Bethel with 15 points, recorded three 3-pointers, the same as Ryan Depuy, who collected 11 points. John Gordon notched 12 points.

Also garnering three treys for Bethel was Jace Stewart. Devin Acklin posted two treys.

Bethel led 19-4 after one quarter and 38-12 at the intermission. The Wildcats collected seven treys and 29 points in the third quarter.

“It was probably our most complete game of the year,” said Bethel coach Eric Litherland. “The 29 points in the third quarter really blew it open.”

Girls

Bethel 50, Little Axe 23

Bethel coach Tara Satterfield employed 13 players and 10 scored, including leading scorer Kennedy Gregory with 13.

Laney O’Rorke added eight points and Parker Stevenson finished with seven. Kelsie Wood posted two treys.

Bethel’s girls are 2-0 versus Little Axe this season and 13-8 overall.

Both Bethel squads will play at McLoud Friday.
