Macomb boys top Maysville to advance to district finals

MACOMB – Brett Barry tossed in 17 points while Alex Barry and Riley Johnson contributed 12 apiece Friday night as the Macomb Hornets thumped Maysville, 58-44, in Class B boys’ district playoff action.

Macomb outscored Maysville in each quarter. Leading 15-12 after one period, the Hornets went on a 10-4 run in the second while taking a 25-16 halftime advantage.

Blaine Cope tacked on eight points to the Macomb attack.

The Hornets advance to face Springer in the district finals Saturday at 8 p.m.
